The Current State of Flying with CBD Products in the US
CBD products have experienced immense growth here in the United States. However, there are still some hurdles faced by those who wish to travel with their CBD products. Following the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp-derived CBD products are legal. Flying with CBD seems to be a growing concern for many out there. This is because of the recent changes in regulations regarding flying with CBD products in the United States.
According to https://www.tsa.gov/, "Marijuana and certain cannabis-infused products, including some Cannabidiol (CBD) oil, remain illegal under federal law except for products that contain no more than 0.3 percent THC". That means as long the THC percentage in your CBD-infused products is under 0.3%, you can have them on the plane in carry-on bags and checked bags. Currently, if you are carrying CBD oil on a domestic flight in the US, you must tell the TSA at the security checkpoint.
Which States Allow CBD?
CBD is legal to various degrees in all 50 states, with the possible exceptions of Idaho and Iowa. The California law brings into sharper relief the fact that there is no real federal regulation around CBD. It is the opinion of FDA that CBD is illegal under the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FDCA)

International Regulations for Flying with CBD
Are you flying with CBD? You must be aware of the international regulations before flying with CBD. However, there are no strict international rules that say what passengers can and cannot bring with them on board, but it depends on the country.
Many countries around the world are joining the cannabidiol revolution. But before you plan your next vacation, it's important to know if your supply of CBD oil is legal. Some countries have restrictions on importing CBD oils, concentrates, or edibles. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulates traveling with cannabidiol to keep travelers safe and avoid problems at customs.
The best course of action is to do your own research into the laws of the country you’re planning to visit.
Countries that have legalized medical use of cannabis include: Argentina, Australia, Barbados, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Finland, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Lebanon, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malawi, Malta, the Netherlands, New Zealand, North Macedonia, Norway, Panama, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Rwanda, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, San Marino, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Uruguay, Vanuatu, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
